Energy Department Invest in Clean Energy Trade Training

Applications are welcome from union training centers, trade schools, and industrial community colleges.

The Department of Energy (DOE) opened up $24 million in additional funding for clean energy trade training programs in the federal trade program network. Union training centers, trade schools, and community colleges that are part of the Industrial Assessment Centers network are welcome to apply for 2024 program funding. Those selected will receive between $200,000 and $7 million according to their needs.

“When it comes to building up the nation’s workforce, there is no doubt that a clean energy transition means developing new, exciting opportunities,” said Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm. “More than half of the jobs created by President Biden’s Investing in America agenda won’t require college degrees—great news for anyone considering a career in the vast clean energy sector.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for Secretary Granholm as she facilitates the development of energy sector careers.
  • For Energy Department officials as they evaluate the applications for federal funding for trade training programs.
